Singing Contest Rules and Regulations
***THESE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR MODIFICATION AT ANY TIME BY STAGEWALL MANAGEMENT ONLY***
All members in the singing category are eligible to apply for StageWall’s first annual singing contest. The official contest will take place in Orange County, CA, in July 2010.
- All contestants must be over the age of 18.
- All contestants will be filmed and all rights to each filming for the contest will be relinquished to StageWall for the specific use of the contest.
- Contestants are allowed to obtain one or more sponsors.
- All contestants must agree that there will be no reimbursements from StageWall for traveling and lodging cost, lost compensation during contest dates, or any other cost related to participating in contest for any reason or any time.
- Persons who entertain are allowed to compete as long as it is part-time income and that person does not belong to any professional organization connected with the entertainment industry that would cause StageWall or any of StageWall representative’s to pay such contestant a fee or any other benefit for taking part in any StageWall event.
- Any person may enter the contest that belongs to an Organized Labor Union connected with the entertainment industry, as long as that person is not disqualified by rule number five.
- Contestants MAY NOT utilize live props during filming. This will include back-up singers, dancers or animals. Non-human props such as costumes and other accessories are permitted. There will be no musical instruments or the use of background music.
- Contestants are not allowed to leave the stage or stage area during their performance.
- Contestants may sing the same song as another contestant.
- Songs containing vulgar or explicit sex lyrics will not be allowed. Contestants who, during their performance, use vulgar lyrics or perform in an obscene manner will be disqualified from any StageWall competition.
- The order of contestants performing will be a random drawing and will NOT be negotiated.
- Contestants will have two attempts at singing one song. Songs must be under 3 minutes.
- Contestants, their family friends or associates who attend the filming and exhibit offensive behavior during any portion of the contest will disqualify that contestant from further competition.
- No person affiliated with StageWall or its sponsors will be allowed to enter.
If you agree to the above rules, then you may enter the contest by submitting your contest entrance fee to the right. Once the entrance fee has been accepted, you will be sent an email to register online for the singing contest.
